SalesForce Engineer

Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Salesforce Engineer to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the Salesforce Platform, including Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud. This role involves determining business needs, designing technical requirements, and building out necessary customisations to ensure our Salesforce environment meets and exceeds organisational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head of IT and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
• Design and implement custom solutions on the Salesforce platform, including Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud.
• Develop and maintain complex workflows, data validations, and custom triggers.
• Conduct regular system maintenance, ensuring the health and efficiency of the Salesforce environment.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Salesforce-related issues.
• Stay updated with Salesforce releases and incorporate new functionalities into the existing system.
• Develop and execute test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of new customisations.
• Train and mentor junior Salesforce team members and end-users.
• Document system configurations, customizations, and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working with Salesforce, with a strong focus on Marketing Cloud and Sales Cloud.
• Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing Salesforce customizations.
• Proficiency in Salesforce development tools, including Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and SOQL.
• Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Administrator, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer) are highly preferred.
