Perform hourly sand tests on backing and facing sand, including compatibility, green strength, permeability, moisture, mould hardness, wet tensile strength, and sand temperature.
Accurately record results using our computer system.
Monitor metal casting temperatures and pour speeds.
Assist with monthly core machine calibration.
Maintain laboratory and working areas to a high standard of cleanliness and organisation.
Follow health and safety procedures, including wearing the correct PPE at all times.
Report any concerns affecting casting quality, equipment condition, or raw materials.
Work collaboratively with the production and quality teams to optimise processes and output.
What We’re Looking For:
Good timekeeping and attendance.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
Computer literacy for recording and reviewing data.
Ability to work independently and plan workload efficiently.
Desirable Skills (Not Essential, but a Bonus!):
Forklift licence
Crane, lifting, and slinging experience
First Aid training
