SATCOM Systems Engineer - SKYNET 6

A Public Sector Digital Transformation Consultancy is hiring a DOORS Systems Engineer to join their experienced team within the SATCOM Engineering Design Authority (SEDA) for the Skynet 6 programme. You will provide systems and requirements engineering expertise on this significant public sector experience, ideally in Military & Defence.

Key Responsibilities:
* Support the CTO/Chief Engineer with updates to the Skynet System Requirements Document (SRD) and Verification Cross Reference Index (VCRI).
* Maintain links and golden threading in the SRD using DOORS.
* Ensure compliance between Service Delivery Wrap (SDW) Requirements and SRD.
* Engage with MOD stakeholders for inputs and problem-solving.

Required Qualifications and Skills:
* Extensive experience as a systems engineer with requirements engineering using IBM DOORS.
* Strong communication skills for managing client relationships.
* Ability to adapt, persuade, and provide effective challenges.
* Experience with public sector procurement and scrutiny processes.
* Capability to work cross-functionally and build a professional network.
* Inspiring thought leader with the freedom to innovate.

Technical Proficiency:
* Support and maintain the SRD and VCRI in DOORS.
* Analytical skills and expertise in systems analysis and engineering techniques.
* Confident in managing uncertainty and providing stakeholder solutions.
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Essential Requirements:
* UK Security Clearance (SC) - Ability to apply for DV clearance.
* Strong documentation and configuration control skills.
* Leadership and mentoring abilities.
* IBM DOORS Software Experience

Desirable Qualifications:
* UK Developed Vetting Clearance (DV).
* Experience with MOD Cat A or B programmes.
* Knowledge of satellite communications and MoD structures.
* Experience working in MOD with current MODNET access.
