Objective:

The SAS team aims to build a centralised Core Cloud platform hosted on AWS to:

• Consolidate existing cloud platforms.
• Improve the security posture of the platform.
• Enable quicker release of changes.
• Scale and industrialise the Core Cloud platform for use by other portfolio teams.

Role Description:

The SAS team is seeking a hands-on Solution Architect to design and build the centralised Core Cloud platform in AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a centralised Core Cloud platform in AWS.
• Consolidate multiple existing cloud platforms into the new Core Cloud platform.
• Enhance the security measures of the Core Cloud platform.
• Ensure the new platform allows for faster release cycles.
• Scale and industrialise the platform for use across various portfolio teams.

Key Projects:

1. Migrating approximately 70 services currently hosted on ACP (one of the existing cloud platforms) to the new Core Cloud platform.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, particularly with AWS.
• Hands-on experience in designing and building cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud security best practices.
• Ability to manage technical debt and streamline release processes.
• Experience with cloud migration projects.

This role is critical in driving the end client's cloud strategy forward, ensuring their platforms are secure, scalable, and efficient for future growth.
