Hybrid - Reading/Portsmouth Office - 2 -3 days per week

We are recruiting for one of our major utility clients based in Reading is looking for a Sada Engineer to join them on a 6-month contract and provide support with the design, installation, testing and commissioning of the systems deployed in substations and other electrical plant locations, as well as the operational communication solutions in support of these systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing Design Specifications for substation automation/operational technology connectivity and tele-protection communications
  • Creation of I/O Schedules, works information, High level technical drawings and project delivery management
  • Managing customer requests from the business and work closely with them to turn the requests into solutions and deliverables.
  • Developing and producing new processes and procedures, working with the team to create standard solutions.

Technical Skills/Experience:

  • Technical knowledge in SCADA, protection, and telecommunications.
  • Experience and knowledge in the design process, principles, industry standards and regulations in the context of electricity transmission and/or distribution.
  • Experience and knowledge in projects/delivery management.
  • Tech skills: Remote Terminal Units (RTUs), Utility Protocols (DNP3 & EWISP+), Control & Monitoring Systems (SCADA & NMS), Fibre Optic and Copper Cable Networks.
