We are currently seeking a Scheduler to join our client's team in the water and wastewater services industry. Our client, a leading water company providing services to East and West Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, and the Isle of Wight, is looking for a highly motivated individual to support their scheduling operations.

In this temporary role, you will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing the scheduling of work activities, ensuring the timely completion of projects. As a Scheduler, you will have the opportunity to work closely with various teams, both internal and external, to ensure efficient resource allocation and planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently schedule and allocate work activities to field staff, taking into account priorities, resources, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with teams to identify any scheduling conflicts or issues and provide suitable resolutions.
  • Monitor and update work schedules as necessary, ensuring accurate records are maintained.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors, and customers to provide updates and resolve any scheduling queries.
  • Maintain accurate data entries and relevant documentation in accordance with company standards.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency and effectiveness in scheduling processes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in scheduling or similar roles, preferably in a field service environment.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a dynamic setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in using scheduling software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of the water industry or infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
