We are seeking a dedicated Scheme Manager to oversee 14 schemes and manage a team of 10 staff members across East Hertfordshire and Essex. The role is crucial for ensuring the safety, security, and proper maintenance of the property. This temporary position is an immediate start, with the potential to fill gaps due to staff transitions.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Act as a key-holder, ensuring the security of communal areas and facilities.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for residents, contractors, and visitors, managing access to the building.
  • Coordinate with contractors for repairs, maintenance, and servicing of communal areas and equipment.
  • Facilitate access for utility companies for essential maintenance and servicing.
  • Manage and oversee the laundry facilities and communal areas.
  • Address and resolve complaints related to communal areas and facilities.
  • Supervise cleaning staff to maintain property conditions and a welcoming environment.
  • Advise tenants on rent account management and arrears.
  • Provide guidance on maintaining properties to a reasonable and hygienic standard.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve repair, maintenance, and security issues.
  • Facilitate contractor access for repairs and provide guidance on affected areas.
  • Perform water testing and emergency equipment checks in line with health and safety processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience in a similar role, with concierge experience considered.
  • Strong administrative and people skills.
  • Comfortable visiting residents’ homes without performing caregiving tasks.
  • Ability to manage and monitor property conditions effectively.
  • Knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding, and fire management protocols.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Immediate availability is preferred.
