School Administrator  

  • Annual Salary: Competitive

  • Job Type: Full-time, Term Time (35 weeks per year plus additional 10 days)

My client is seeking a dedicated School Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Head of the Upper School. This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including managing attendance, supporting the Assistant Head, and coordinating Parent Consultation Evenings. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar administrative or PA role, preferably within an educational setting.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee daily registration for the Upper School, ensuring accuracy and compliance with school procedures.
  • Manage the Upper School absence email inbox and communicate with parents regarding student absences.
  • Provide administrative support to the Assistant Head, including diary management, meeting coordination, and minute-taking.
  • Assist in the preparation and coordination of Parent Consultation Evenings, including database management and IT support.
  • Support the academic reporting process as directed by the Director of Studies, including managing reporting cycles and assisting staff with report generation.
  • Work with Heads of Year to prepare for meetings, communicate with parents, and handle administrative tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree-level education or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Experience as an assistant or PA in a professional environment.
  • Familiarity with educational software such as iSAMS and CPOMS is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong command of the English language.
  • Proficient IT skills, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, and advanced Excel.
  • Experience in a school environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion at all times.
  • Independent workload management with the ability to meet deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
