Job Title: School Business Manager

Location: Witney, Oxfordshire

Contract: Permanent, 40 weeks/year (term-time only+1week), 30 hours/week

We are supporting one of our inclusive SEN Schools, committed to providing high-quality education and support for students with diverse needs. Their dedicated staff work collaboratively to create a positive and nurturing environment where every student can thrive.

Role Overview: As the School Business Manager, you will play a crucial role in the effective management of our school. You will oversee financial operations, human resources, facilities, and administrative functions. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth running of the school, allowing our teaching staff to focus on delivering outstanding education.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Monitor budgets, prepare financial reports, and manage procurement.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and funding requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to allocate resources effectively.

Human Resources:

  • Manage staff contracts, payroll, and recruitment processes.
  • Support professional development and well-being initiatives.
  • Foster positive relationships among staff members.

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the school’s strategic vision and improvement plans.
  • Analyse data to inform decision-making.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher and governing body.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role ideally with sector knowledge but not essential.
  • Strong administration skills and management experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
