Our client, Mellors, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a School Cook Manager. Committed to providing an inclusive learning environment for pupils who are at risk, they are seeking a passionate individual who is able to interact with all students with compassion and enthusiasm.

As the School Cook Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the brand new school kitchen and ensuring the delivery of nutritious meals to students and staff. You will play a pivotal role in creating a positive dining experience and promoting healthy eating habits among the school community.

The Key Requirements:

  • Strong experience in cooking and knowledge of food preparation techniques
  • A thorough understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations, with a valid food hygiene certificate
  • Excellent communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders
  • The ability to work well under pressure and deliver excellent results in a fast-paced environment
  • Relevant qualifications in catering, management, or food safety will be an advantage
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment where students can develop social and life skills
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the catering service, seeking feedback from stakeholders.
  • To perform duties as directed by the Area Manager
