School Finance Officer - Tower Hamlets - ASAP

Our Ofsted 'Outstanding’ Secondary School is a friendly, caring and diverse community school looking to appoint a School Finance Officer to join our Finance Team. We are looking for a candidate who can start immediately.

Role: School Finance Officer

Pay: £110 - £130

Contract: Full Time

Location: Tower Hamlets

The successful candidate will be responsible for elements of the day-to-day aspects of the finance function for the school, whilst also having central responsibility for the recording and reconciliation of financial transactions between the school and external parties. The Finance Officer works closely with the School Finance Manager to ensure effective Financial control and compliance is maintained.

This Finance Officer role will require:

• Experience using Financial Management Systems (FMS) - essential
• Previous experience working in school - essential
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks
• Strong system skills with confidence and experience in picking up new accountancy systems
• Effective team working skills, including flexibility and adaptability
• A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to work to monthly deadlines
• Awareness of and compliance with policies and procedures relating to child protection, safeguarding and safe working practices, equal opportunities, health and safety, security, confidentiality and data protection.
