Working in a busy reception area in an Outstanding Secondary School in Southwark. The school has a clear vision that is shared with the community of parents, Governors, teachers and pupils, as well as the local authority. The school is looking to recruit a temporary school receptionist on a long term basis. When you work in this school your responsibilities will include:

  • Representing the school in a professional and welcoming manner
  • Answering general telephone and face to face enquiries and signing in visitors
  • Assist in arrangements for school trips, events
  • Provide general admin support such as photocopying, filing, faxing, e-mailing
  • Sort and distribute mail
  • Ensure reprographics requests are fulfilled on time;
  • Undertake general administrative procedures
  • Maintain and collate pupil reports
  • Assist in ordering uniform
  • Provide general advice and guidance to staff, pupils and others

Requirements / Skills:

  • Committed, flexible and enthusiastic
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Previous experience
  • Considerable experience of the schools computerised database, SIMS
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to set and work to agreed targets and work schedules
  • Excellent attention to detail

These are some of the requirements that we need from you:

  • Enhanced child DBS on the update service or willingness to get one which Randstad can support you with
  • Experience working with children or young people with additional care needs
  • Proof of your eligibility to work in the UK together with a few other documents
  • 2 recent professional references
