£17.12 per hour

Temporary - until November currently
Part Time - 29.6 hours per week - must be available to work Wednesdays and Fridays out of the four days and the others are flexible.
Hours - These are varied shifts between 06:30am - 17:30pm
Tate are working with a local authority to recruit for an exciting opportunity to join their Home to School Travel Team as a Home to School Travel Officer.
This team is responsible for the whole travel process from application and eligibility to the provision of travel solutions
Key responsibilities:
- Post plans travel for children and young people with additional needs attending specialist schools across Bristol and outside of the area as well as provide some travel for Adult and Child Social Care Teams.
- Day to day supervision of 150 Guide Escorts who are with the children for their journey to and from school and act as a support if there are any concerns or issues.
- To work with approved contractors to maintain a safe and effective service as well as raising issues and issuing penalties in the event of service disruptions and failures.
- Ensure that all details of route, cost and child are properly recorded on the software to enable accurate information for forecasting and planning.
Experience:
- You should have some experience of travel planning, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), and risk assessments.
- You will need good communication skills to liaise with parents and carers, schools, transport contractors, and guide escorts.
