Your new company
A large trust of schools is looking for a School Trust Secretary to support the Executive Assistant to the Senior Leadership team based on North Birmingham. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8am - 4pm. This is temporary to permanent role for the right candidate.

Your new role
This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking for a challenging and rewarding role in their career. Working alongside a highly experienced Executive Assistant to the Trust, the role will entail:

  • Providing personal, administrative and organisational support to Executive Leaders
  • Attending meetings as a minute taker- this will include preparing agendas and circulating meeting papers
  • Working alongside the Executive Leaders to provide a full range of secretarial duties
  • To maintain and manage Executive Leaders diaries, arrange appointments, meetings, designated work time, travel arrangements and refreshments
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality at all times
  • Work with teams of people organising events such as the Trust's annual conference and away days
  • Prepare rooms for meetings and events arranging refreshments, catering and/or hospitality where appropriate
  • Organise functions and provide hospitality where required


This is a role that requires an individual that is highly efficient and organised and that can work in a pressurised environment with little supervision.
Please note that you will be required to travel between different schools for meetings in North Birmingham so will require someone that can drive.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a high level of communication and IT skills and experience in the above and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You must be very efficient with the ability to work with conflicting deadlines. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years. You will also need to have an up to date DBS check, the school can't accept any applicants without this.
