Science teacher - Oldham - September start
A dedicated and passionate Science Teacher is required to work at a popular secondary school in Oldham. The role will start in September, will be full time on supply for the Autumn term, with the possibility of it becoming permanent in January.
This position is open to ECTs as well as experienced science teachers.
You will be required to teach science to key stage 3 & 4 classes and become fully involved within the department & school, like a permanent member of staff, and attend departmental meetings when required, and be available for parents' evenings as well as planning and delivering captivating, high standard lessons that will stretch the pupils in their learning. It would be advantageous if you have previously delivered sessions in a science based after school club or revision sessions, however, this is not essential.
This school is a good school and is popular within the community, it is also served by great public transport links and is quite close to the motorway.

Minimum rate of pay from GBP153 per day.
Hours 8:30am 4pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree educated with a good classification, preferably in science connected subject.
Secondary QTS (PGCE, SCITT, B. Ed, QTS, etc) in science
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (essential, however, training can be provided).
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of GBP45.80.
Provide a minimum of two professional references.
