This is an excellent opportunity for a Science Graduate who has an interest in teaching and is eager to gain paid school experience ahead of potentially commencing teacher training in the future.

An excellent opportunity has recently become available for a Science Graduate who has an interest in teaching and is eager for the chance to gain paid school experience. A fast-paced East London secondary are looking to appoint a Science Grad who is looking to gain paid experience in a secondary school setting to work as an advanced Science teaching assistant.

The successful applicant will be working with pupils of all abilities, with a focus on Science work. This is the perfect role for a Science Graduate who is thinking about potentially training to become a teacher in the future but would first like to gain hands on paid school experience through working as a Science graduate teaching assistant. You will be based solely within the Science department and will be working closely with the head of department.

I am keen to speak with Graduates who have a Science based Degree and some form of paid or voluntary experience with young people. You must also be able to commit to a full time role Monday - Friday term time only. You may have gained your experience with young people a number of ways such as tutoring, youth work, voluntary schoolwork…

You will be paid weekly and will get the chance to develop your experience with young people in a fast-paced secondary school environment. A high number of Graduates who have worked at this school have then gone on to apply for teacher training the following year.

This Science Graduate teaching assistant role will commence in September 2024 and will be for the full academic year.
