Empowering Learning are a market leading education recruitment company. We are working in partnership with a large Secondary Academy in Chesterfield who are looking to appoint a Science Technician to help support the smooth running of the Science Department.
This is a full-time vacancy, seeking an outstanding candidate to join the school on their journey of growth. The successful candidate can expect to work in a challenging and thriving environment. The school leadership help and support all members of staff to help them achieve their full potential.
The job
- The school is looking for an experienced Science Technician to support within the Science department, preparing materials for lessons, ensuring health and safety records are maintained, calibration and maintenance of equipment and chemicals.
- Reporting to the Head of Science to work collaboratively as part of the team to support practical lessons, organise materials, and provide vital upkeep to the department.
The successful candidate will
- Have at least 1 year experience as a Science Technician in a UK School.
- Be Health and Safety conscious with an eye for detail.
- Be organised and able to work well alone and as part of a team
- Contribution to impact on the quality of the provision of learning within the department.
