Science Technician

Charterhouse, a prestigious Independent School, is seeking a highly organised, methodical and enthusiastic Science Technician to provide outstanding technical and scientific support to its successful Science Department.

The role entails equipping laboratories prior to lessons, clearing labs and recycling glassware, maintaining stock of apparatus and reagents, and conducting safety checks on equipment.

The ideal candidate will have good IT skills, enjoy science and practical work and be familiar with modern scientific laboratory techniques.

Previous experience of working in a school laboratory is desirable but not essential.

Charterhouse offers a very competitive benefits package with FTE salary of circa £34,000 per annum.

This is a full-time role, during term time (32 weeks of the year), the precise working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate as there is some flexibility with regards to start and finish time and the exact number of working hours per week.
