This is a vibrant and inclusive secondary school dedicated to providing high-quality education and fostering a love for learning. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Science Technician to join our team on a fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and set up equipment and materials for science lessons and practical experiments.
• Assist teachers and students during practical sessions, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
• Maintain and organize the science laboratories, ensuring all equipment is in good working order.
• Manage the inventory of chemicals and equipment, ensuring proper storage and disposal.
• Support the development and implementation of health and safety procedures in the science department.
• Provide technical support for extracurricular science activities and events.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Science Technician or in a similar role is desirable.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to laboratory work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A passion for science and education.
