Scientist II – Electrochemist

An exciting opportunity has arisen a Scientist II at a leading biotechnology company based in Bedfordshire. As the Scientist II you will be responsible for conducting electrochemistry and developing polymer modified sensors. You will also be responsible for performing various tasks within the laboratory, including research and development, QC, and method development.

As a Scientist II you will be degree educated in Biotechnology or a relevant field. You will also have a strong understanding of practical and theoretical electrochemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop polymer modified sensors.
  • Conduct QC on materials and products.
  • Follow SOPs and lead day to day activities within the labs.
  • Research electrochemistry.
  • Interact with customers to deliver projects.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Chemistry – or similar.
  • Experience in electrochemistry (academic or industrial).
  • GLP experience.
  • Familiar working with SOPs.
  • Creative approach to problem solving and learning new skills.
