Salary: £25,000

Hours of Work: 07:00 - 15:00 with 30 min unpaid break

Term Time only - 39 weeks

Our award-winning client are actively seeking a Second Chef to join their team at a Secondary School site in Redhill. The successful postholder will need to cook fresh food from scratch, therefore excellent culinary skills are a must. This is a customer facing role, so we are looking for an individual with a passion for giving children the best possible lunch experience. You will be working with a team of staff, and you will report to the Chef Manager.

To be a successful Second Chef you will:

• Have excellent craft skills

• Have a proven track record of continually improving standards

• Have good communication skills at all levels

• Hardworking and committed individual

• Be passionate about food with a great eye for detail

• The ability to lead a team

• The ability to manage the kitchen and train the team to standards required

• Have financial and budget awareness

• The ability to understand and complete daily all relevant food and health and safety compliance books

• Innovative person with a positive outgoing disposition and a can-do approach

• Good communication skills with clear understanding of the English language
