Day to Day of the Role:
  • Provide cover for absent teaching staff across a range of subjects, adapting to the needs of our diverse student body.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and wellbeing.
  • Implement lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school’s vibrant community.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with educational trends.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, colleagues, and the wider school community.
  • Demonstrated empathy and emotional intelligence in working with students of varying backgrounds and abilities.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to manage a dynamic teaching schedule and changing routines.
  • Ability to maintain composure and a positive outlook, even under pressure.
  • Willingness to engage in continuous learning and professional development.
  • Previous experience in a secondary school setting is beneficial but not mandatory.
