We are seeking a passionate and innovative Design Technology Teacher to join a vibrant school in Reading. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring Design Technology lessons that cater to the needs of all students.
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
  • Engage students in practical and theoretical learning, ensuring they develop both skills and understanding in Design Technology.
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback to foster their development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to integrate interdisciplinary approaches into the curriculum.
  • Participate in and contribute to staff meetings and professional development sessions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in Design Technology or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development.
