Construction/Building Services Teacher/Instructor required for an alternative provision in Oxford

Are you passionate about shaping the future of young minds in the field of construction? 

We are seeking to recruit a talented and skilled Construction and Building Services Teacher/Instructor. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with the ability to inspire and motivate students who have been permanently excluded from school or finding it difficult to manage their behaviour. This is a unique opportunity to make a substantial contribution to further improving outcomes for a significant group of vulnerable and challenging young learners and to help shape provision across the school and in partner schools through an outreach model.

Specific duties and responsibilities:

  • Take on the role of personal tutor to a group of students in KS3/4: teach on the RSHE team as required (tutor time and/or timetabled lessons); contribute to the development of the Pupil Profiles of the students in your tutor group; work with parents, schools and other professionals to support your tutees; support students with careers education, information, advice and guidance
  • Be aware of safeguarding concerns and report concerns to the DSL
  • Participate in regular staff-meetings and professional development sessions as required

Contract Type: Permanent Contract

Term: Full time (Part time will be considered for the right candidate)

Salary: TMS / UPS + SEN 1 or UQ
