Day-to-day of the role:
  • Design and deliver inspiring maths lessons that adhere to the national curriculum.
  • Foster a stimulating classroom environment that promotes enthusiasm for learning maths.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop new curriculum materials and teaching strategies.
  • Participate in and organise mathematics workshops and school events.
  • Engage with continuous professional development activities to enhance teaching practice.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Mathematics or a closely related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching maths at secondary level.
  • Strong knowledge of the latest curriculum and teaching techniques.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate students and promote a love for mathematics.
