We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Music and Drama Teacher to join a vibrant school community in Reading. Day-to-day of the role:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver inspiring music and drama lessons that engage and motivate students.
  • Direct school productions and manage performance projects, showcasing student talent.
  • Collaborate with other teachers to integrate music and drama across the curriculum.
  • Assess and record students' progress, providing feedback to encourage and promote learning.
  • Organise and participate in school events, competitions, and activities that promote the arts.
  • Maintain a positive, creative, and safe learning environment for all students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent in Music, Drama, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in teaching music and/or drama in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong ability to play at least one musical instrument and knowledge of music theory.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Passion for the arts and a commitment to developing students’ creative talents.
