Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant include:
- Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and resources.
- Support students in their academic and personal development.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
- Provide individual and small group support to students who need extra help.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
Requirements of a Secondary Teaching Assistant include:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with students.
- You will have grades A*-C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
