Secondary Teaching Assistant

A resillient and compassionate school for children aged 11-16 in East Grinstead, are seeking for a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join their team. They have a thirst for learning, knowledge and discovery to allow the pupils a chance to achieve at the highest possible standards.

Responsibilities of a Secondary Teaching Assistant include:

  • Assist teachers in preparing classroom materials and resources.
  • Support students in their academic and personal development.
  • Help manage classroom behaviour and maintain a safe, respectful learning environment.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students who need extra help.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.

Requirements of a Secondary Teaching Assistant include:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational journey.
  • The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach to working with students.
  • You will have grades A*-C in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
