This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with experience in the accountancy sector.

Role and Responsibilities

As a Secretary/Personal Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Administrative Support:

    • Managing the daily schedules and appointments of senior accountants.
    • Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
    • Handling correspondence, including emails and phone calls, with a high level of professionalism.
  • Documentation and Filing:

    • Managing the filing of tax returns and company statements.
    • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of statutory returns.
    • Organizing and maintaining both physical and electronic files to ensure compliance and easy retrieval.
  • Client and Office Management:

    • Acting as the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional customer service.
    • Assisting with client onboarding processes, including company formations and registrations.
    • Overseeing office supplies, equipment maintenance, and ensuring a tidy and efficient office environment.
  • Financial Administration:

    • Assisting with the preparation and submission of invoices and expense reports.
    • Supporting basic bookkeeping tasks as required.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience:

    • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience working within an accountancy firm is essential.
    • Proven experience in managing the filing of tax returns, company statements, and company formations.
  • Skills:

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
    • Familiarity with accounting software and filing systems.
    • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
