Details of the Role

They are seeking an experienced and motivated Security & Fire Alarm Engineer to join their dynamic team.

In this role, you will install, service, and repair a range of security and fire systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and commission security and fire safety systems, including intruder alarms, CCTV, access control, and fire alarms.
  • Perform routine maintenance and fault-finding on existing installations.
  • Respond to call-outs, diagnosing and resolving issues effectively under pressure.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, fostering client relationships.
  • Complete accurate system documentation and service reports.
  • Stay updated on industry standards and technologies.


The Ideal Candidate

They are looking for a reliable, detail-orientated engineer with a passion for security and a knack for problem-solving. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in the installation and maintenance of security and fire alarm systems
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., FIA units, City & Guilds)
  • Strong working knowledge of BS 5839 and BS 7671
  • Superior problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with a range of both open and closed protocol systems
  • Knowledge of IP-based systems and networking
  • IPAF or other relevant working-at-height certifications
