This position will involve working a day shift pattern - 09:30 - 18:30 - 4 on 4 off, for an average of 28 hours per week.

About the role

Kensington Palace’s Royal owners have shaped its transformation from the late 17th century to the present day. Now, in the 21st century, Kensington continues to provide a private home for modern Royals whilst allowing everyone to explore the stories of the people and families who have lived in this stylish palace in years gone by.

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Operations Team as a Security Officer (Days).

As a Security Officer (Days) your role will be to support the team in making Kensington Palace a safe and secure place to work and visit, providing a professional, responsive, and vigilant security presence on site.

Tasks will include the traditional elements of access control, patrolling, maintaining shift log records, monitoring CCTV, monitoring life safety systems, opening and closing the estate and being ready to assist our visitors in any way that helps them enjoy an unforgettable experience.

About you

Applicants should have proven experience of a similar role gained in either a corporate or heritage environment.

You will be able to demonstrate knowledge of basic security principles and an understanding of CCTV/Alarm and Fire systems. You will also be comfortable using technical systems and MS Office (Word and Excel).

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate self-motivation, self-development, reliability, and the ability to work as part of a team.
