About The Role
As a representative of OCS Security you will ensure that an exceptional level of customer service and manned guarding is provided as per the contract requirements. You will ensure that all assigned tasks are completed in a professional and timely manner and all relevant legislation is adhered to.

This is a relief role and may be subject to more hours, covering morning and night shifts between 07:00 to 19:00, 24 hours per week.

Your main responsibilities may also include:

The Security staff shall perform additional duties in matters of car parking and security, which although are not specifically referred to in the outline of the duties listed, are nevertheless relating to car parking and security

  • Preserving the good order in the premises of the Trust, including protection of patients, staff and visitors against violent acts or abuse.
  • Protecting NHS and any other public property against losses and damage.
  • Protecting the property of patients, staff, visitors and contractors against loss, theft and damage.
  • Ensuring that whenever an incident occurs concerning car parking or security within the premises of the Trust, it is reported and recorded in accordance with the Trust's Policy and Procedures.
  • To participate in contingency plans for internal or external emergencies, including fire, explosion, bio-hazards, bomb threats, major incidents, flood, lightning strike or wind storm, or any such incidents.
  • To patrol all areas on the Hospital site, while doing so, to pay particular attention to all those matters referred to in these duties, and any additional matters which may be directed by management from time to time.
  • To undertake the removal of all undesirable persons from Trust property, as and when required, in a courteous but firm manner.
  • To ensure that clear and un-restricted access is maintained at all times for emergency vehicles and visitors at any point on the Hospital site.
  • To ensure that yellow lines and hatched areas are kept clear of cars and that disabled bays are kept available for the authorised cars to park in these areas.
  • To replenish tickets in the pay and display machines, the tickets will be supplied by the contractor and no machine must be allowed to run out of tickets



To succeed in this role you will need the following:

- A good general level of education. Ideally GCSE Maths & English

  • SIA License (Manned Guarding)
  • Previous experience of working within a customer focused environment.
  • Ideally has experience of working within the Security Industry.
  • Excellent communication skills both written & verbal.
  • A professional demeanour.
  • A good level of computer literacy.

  • Willingness to bring concerns to corporate attention via prescribed channels
  • An ability to demonstrate sound judgement and integrity.
  • An ability to work proactively with others.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within an organisation.
  • Ability to work on own initiative
