Job Purpose
    
Install, Maintain, Repair & Service Security systems on behalf of the company throughout the United Kingdom as directed by the Operations Director or his subordinates.  The engineer will use experience, Skills, training, and best endeavours to carry-out the work required efficiently whilst maintaining excellent health & safety standards.  The role demands a high level of interpersonal & communication skills dealing with clients and other interested parties as well as technical ability & IT literacy.  The role holder MUST have a valid driving licence throughout the term of employment.
Be confident to assist with Fire service calls, attending calls to support customer as needed, working with Fire tech support who may not be local to the call.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
    
?      Install, Commission, Test and maintain a variety of systems and equipment under contract to the company.
?      When call upon to work with subcontractors take a lead as the company employee to ensure the work being undertaken are to the standard expected of an ISO 9001 quality assured provider.
?      Maintain a minimum level of Heath & Safety training including Asbestos Awareness, Ipaf & ECS and other qualifications as deemed appropriate by the company.
?      Seek opportunities to increase the profitability of the company by gaining additional work through communication with clients, observation of system weaknesses, potential areas of poor protection or cover and 'end of life' equipment.
?      Complete appropriate online documentation immediately after the works have been completed and obtain a client signature to prove works completed satisfactorily.
?      Manage and maintain company plant, PPE, equipment and stock levels within the vehicle.  Report any damage or shortages to the office to enable replacements to be arranged as necessary.
?      Be aware of the Quality Management System which includes policies in place to support the business and its aims including but not limited to Health & Safety, Environmental, Data Protection, Anti-bribery & equality.  Further information can be found in QCD 4000 Staff Handbook.
?      Ensure the company vehicle is maintained and in road worthy condition always; including lights, brakes, tyres, windscreen, roof rack & weight.
?      Report immediately any issue which might cause reputational damage to the business or including accidents and health & safety issues.
?      Honour and respect the security and confidential nature of our business and the company relationship with clients.  Do not use any form of social media platform to mention clients by name or reference.
 
Person specification
    
Essential.
?      Holder of a valid current driving licence.
?      Must have excellent spoken English and writing skills
?      Hold relevant current certified training records commensurate with the post.
?      Excellent interpersonal skills
?      Maintain a high level of personal appearance and always present for work in company uniform.
?      Familiarity with IT packages such as Word, Excel & Outlook
?      Ability to organise own work with limited supervision.

Desirable.
?      Qualifications / Certificates of training for Gallagher, Avigilon, Honeywell Lenel, FIA, Apollo or Gent.
?      Advanced Health & Safety training such as SSSTS or Petrol Passport
?      Experience of project management and supervision
?      Experience of the ZOHO CRM software package.
