Job Opportunity: SEMH Assistant in Hitchin

We are partnering with exceptional SEN schools in Hitchin and the surrounding areas that cater to children with diverse educational and social needs. These schools seek an SEMH Assistant committed to helping children reach their full potential through high standards of teaching and learning.

About the Role:

  • Location: Hitchin
  • Start Date: September
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:30 AM to 3:45 PM
  • Pay: £460 - £500 per week
  • Training: Education and training provided
  • Career Path: Ideal for aspiring Clinical Psychologists, Youth/Criminal Justice Officers
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the clinical team
  • Support teaching and learning activities
  • Assist with personal care for pupils, when necessary
  • Utilize initiative to enhance student learning

Requirements:

  • Experience with children and/or young people (desirable but not essential)
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and caring individual
  • Team player who can work alongside teaching and support staff
  • Passion for supporting children and young people with special educational needs
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Psychology and Criminology Degree
  • Residency near Hitchin
