SEN Teaching Assistant (SEMH and Autism Specialist)

Salary: Between £90-£120 per day 

Contract Type: Full-time, long-term or permanent

About Us: We are a vibrant and inclusive agency committed to providing high-quality support for all students. Our dedicated team supports with staffing schools with support workers for children with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Role Overview: As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and other professionals to create a positive and supportive learning environment. Your role will involve:

  • Providing one-to-one support for students with SEMH and/or Autism
  • Assisting in classroom activities, differentiation, and behaviour management
  • Collaborating with the SENCO and teaching staff to implement individualized education plans
  • Building strong relationships with students, promoting their well-being and progress

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 Months’ experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant in the UK
  • Understanding of SEMH and Autism
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to long-term or permanent employment
