About the Role:
TimePlan Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Silverstone, Northamptonshire. This is a full-time position, offering a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young people.
Responsibilities:
- Support students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a secondary school setting.
- Assist in developing and implementing individual education plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best outcomes for students.
- Help students develop social skills and manage their emotions effectively.
- Provide one-on-one support as needed.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Previous experience working with young people is desirable.
- Special Education Needs (SEN) / SEMH Experience: Experience in this field is a plus.
- Attributes: A willingness to support and motivate students, fostering a nurturing environment.
- DBS Check: Must have a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
