Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes emotional well-being and academic progress.
  • Support students in developing social skills, resilience, and coping strategies.
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of engaging and differentiated learning activities.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents/guardians.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature.
  • Relevant qualifications and/or training in education or SEMH support (desirable).

To be considered for this position you will:
- have previous school experience and be familiar with the SIMS system
- Be a committed professional
- Be an organised, enthusiastic proactive person
-Hold a child workforce enhanced DBS certificate which is on the update service, or be willing to apply for a new one (costs refunded back to you when you complete 20 days work)
-have satisfactory references
-have a CV must that covers the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any gaps in employment must be explained;
- Have the legal right to work in the UK.
