Semi-Senior Accountant, Bury, £25-£30,000 plus full study support

Due to growth, a Chartered Accountancy Practice in Bury is recruiting for a Semi-Senior Accountant to join their forward thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a successful firm where you will be offered study support to become AAT qualified and chartered and exposure to a wide range of industries and duties including accounts, VAT and Tax.

Duties:

Accounts/management accounts

  • Preparation of FRS102a and FRS105 year-end accounts
  • Management accounts preparation
  • Draft corporation tax computations
  • Knowledge of personal tax returns would be an advantage.

Outsourcing duties

  • Bookkeeping, inclusive of monthly reconciliations/monthly journals.
  • Assisting clients with payments runs, credit control etc.
  • Experienced with cloud-based software. Mainly Xero, say 75% Xero, 20% sage, 5% Quickbooks.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years’ experience within an accountancy firm
  • Competent in preparing accounts.
  • Studying ACCA or ACA or AAT Level 4 AAT, study support will be provided.
  • Sage and Xero experienced
