Job Purpose

  • Supporting a varied client portfolio, working closely with senior accountants to ensure expectations and deadlines are met
  • Preparation of tax returns and computations
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Preparation of accounts for Sole Traders, Partnership and LLP accounts
  • Presenting statutory year-end accounts and tax returns for manager review
  • Liaising with clients, building strong rapport and proactively handling queries
  • Setting up clients on Xero and any associated apps
  • Championing your own professional development, enthusiastically undertaking training opportunities

Job Requirements

  • AAT, ACCA or ACA qualified, part-qualified, studying or with a desire to start studying
  • Recent experience working in UK practice
  • Good working knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, statutory accounts and management accounts
  • Proven track record of using cloud accounting systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage
  • An enthusiastic team player who can also work autonomously
  • A can-do attitude to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and able to manage your own deadlines and workflow
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
