SEN and Exam Access Officer required for an large mixed sex comprehensive in Greenwich.

This role would suit a strong administrator with experience of providing pastoral support to students and has a good understanding/experience of SEN provision in a secondary school or college.

As SEN and Exam Access Officer you will complement the professional work of teachers by taking administrative responsibility for students in the sixth form with SEN needs and with Exam Access requirements . You will address the needs of students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning regarding organisation of work, time and deadlines, and other barriers to learning and liaise with the SENCO on a regular basis so that there is a shared understanding of SEN procedures and needs within the Sixth Form and the school as a whole.

You will liaise with the Exams team (including relevant SEN staff) on a regular basis so that that there is a shared understanding of exam access procedures and needs within the Sixth Form and the school as a whole.

In consultation with the SENCO you will be providing specialist advice to staff and support on students’ specific needs including a wide range of learning disabilities and educational needs, particularly those relating to ADHD, ASD, dyslexia and exam-related anxiety.

This is an integral role for the school to ensure SEN inclusion in a mainsteam environment.
