DescriptionFive Education are recruiting for an SEN Lead ICT Teacher at an excellent Special School in Berkshire. The role is to support identified pupils with Special Education Needs (SEN) and/ or mental health challenges.

Previous experience in supporting individuals with SEND such as Autism and challenging behaviour is desirable. The right person for this role will be kind, compassionate, patient and resilient.


The role will involve:

  • Plan, prepare and evaluate learning programmes reflecting sound practice and facilitate SEMH development
  • Assisting pupils throughout the day, helping them to remain focussed and on task.
  • Guide the pupils when they are struggling, and help them to become regulated and calm.
  • Participate in review of development and management of curriculum
  • Act as faculty coordinator, responsbile for coordinating, self evaluating and development planning for subjects



Essential Criteria:

  • Have an interest in supporting children/ young people
  • Right to work in the UK (A Valid Visa)
  • Relevant references and DBS/Police check
  • Previous experience as department lead/Head of ICT
