SEN - Learning Support Assistant

We are looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team, working with children to foster a nurturing and stimulating environment that prioritises their holistic development. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for the success of every child.
Day to Day of the Role:- Building strong, supportive relationships with children, focusing on those with PDA, ASC, ADHD.
- Creating a welcoming and caring atmosphere conducive to the full development of the child.
- Collecting educational attainment evidence from 1-1 sessions as directed by the Lead Tutor.
- Working collaboratively with a range of professionals to deliver provision as outlined in reports.
- Engaging difficult-to-reach young people through their interests, creating activities and resources.
- Writing concise reports and taking accurate notes.
- Acting as a safeguarding adult within the home and maintaining a thorough understanding of safeguarding practices.
- Essential:
- Experience working with pupils with PDA, ASC, ADHD.
- Ability to build positive relationships with young people with PDA.
- Experience managing high-level anxiety, social anxiety, and panic attacks in pupils.
- Valid driving licence and ability to travel as required.
- Competence in collecting educational evidence and report writing.
- Innovative engagement strategies for difficult-to-reach young people.
- Excellent understanding of safeguarding principles.
- Desirable:
- Experience working with an assistance dog.
- Familiarity with the NCFE framework.
- Experience in a self-directed education environment.
- Understanding of EOTAS packages.
