Temporary SEN Learning Support Worker

£13-£14 per hour, Paid Weekly

About the Role: Randstad Education is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Learning Support Workers to join our team on a temporary basis from September 2024. As an SEN Learning Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential. This role is temporary for the school year, but could become permanent after a year temporary placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with SEN, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
  • Support students in developing social, emotional, and academic skills.
  • Work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and other support staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and SEN coordinators.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young adults with SEN is highly desirable.
  • A patient, compassionate, and empathetic nature.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students.
  • A valid DBS check (Randstad Education can assist with this process).
