A dynamic and forward-thinking SEMH school in Greenwich are looking for a Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their school to support children and families in the local community. 

The Role 

In this role you will be teaching a class of 8 primary age learners all who have SEMH needs and Autism. 2 pupils are verbal and can read and write to good standard.  You will take on planning responsibilities for planning age appropriate activities and other additional learning opportunities whilst also giving pupils time for energy breaks. There is an experienced team of Learning Support Assistants in place in the class to provide support to all learners. The class needs a teacher who has a good understanding of behaviour management and autism who can provide structure, routines and appropriate learning.

The School 

This specialist SEMH School is based in Greenwich and is specifically for primary aged children in the borough who have suffered trauma within their young lives.  There is a highly committed team who hold the interests of each and every child at the heart of everything they do. In addition to the main school, they also have specialist provision for pupils from mainstream schools who have SEMH and behavioural needs and require additional support for a short time. They also have a specialist provision for pupils with ASD and an outreach team. The school offers training and development for all their staff.
