Horizon Teachers have an exciting opportunity for a SEN Primary Teacher to work in a SEN school located in Enfield starting September 2024. The school caters for pupils aged 4 to 11 years old with Autism or who are at risk of being permanently excluded. The primary aim for the Nurture Hub is to support pupils to reintegrate into mainstream schools or other appropriate placement. They provide a curriculum which allows students to progress academically as well as socially and emotionally.
The role involves planning, teaching and delivering an adapted curriculum, within a maximum class size of 6 pupils, working alongside experienced Teaching Assistants to support the progress of the pupils.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.
• A relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience of teaching KS1 or KS2 desirable
• Experience or interest in working with children with Autism or behavioural difficulties essential
