Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to individual EHCPs and developmental needs.
Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists and external professionals to support pupils holistically.
Foster a positive, structured and safe classroom culture.
Use a range of assessment tools to track and celebrate pupil progress.
Promote communication, independence and emotional wellbeing across all activities.
Actively contribute to school-wide initiatives, family engagement and continuous improvement.
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) - Primary phase or SEN specialism preferred.
Experience working with children with SEND, especially ASC, MLD, SLD or SEMH.
Confident using alternative communication systems (e.g., PECS, Makaton, AAC).
Empathetic, flexible and committed to inclusive education.
Strong team player with excellent communication and reflective skills.
