We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in young people’s lives and thrives in a supportive team environment. If you have a commitment to inclusion and equal opportunities, and you’re looking for a rewarding experience working in a Pupil Referral Unit we encourage you to apply. A pupil referral unit (PRU) is a type of school that provides education for pupils who are unable to attend a mainstream or special school. PRUs offer a supportive and nurturing environment where pupils can access a personalised curriculum that meets their academic, social, and emotional needs. As a learning support assistant at a PRU, you will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide individualised support for pupils with a range of needs, such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, mental health issues, or trauma. You will assist pupils with their learning activities, behaviour management, and personal development. You will also help to create a safe and positive atmosphere in the classroom and around the school.
