We are working with an outstanding school in Headington to find them a passionate candidate to take on the role of SEN specialist. The school cater to students aged between 8-19 with autism and severe learning disabilities. The school have amazing community connections and internal community due to the close collaboration with parents and carers to ensure full family support. The school are looking to welcome a SEN Specialist into this community and provide the children attending the school the life skills and opportunities to equip them for a purposeful life.

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 - 3:30
  • £80 - £95 daily wage
  • Long-term contract with permanent aim
  • CIPD courses available
  • Full training provided

The main responsibilities of a SEN Specialist within the school environment will include supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, aim to guide students towards reintegration into classroom activities and reach personal growth targets. The successful candidate will encourage students to follow personalised programmes to encourage students' individual growth and motivation. The SEN Specialist will participate in team meetings and share observations with class teachers, therapists and psychologists to better understand students and adapt their curriculum.
