SEN Teaching Assistant - Needs to be Epilepsy and Catheterisation Trained

Location: Burnley

Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? Do you have expertise in catheterisation and epilepsy care? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Burnley.

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support for a child with specific medical needs. This long-term position will continue until the child leaves school, offering stability and the chance to build a meaningful connection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored support and care to a child with SEN, including catheterisation and epilepsy management.
  • Assist with classroom activities, ensuring the child's inclusion and participation.
  • Collaborate with teachers and healthcare professionals to create a supportive learning environment.
  • Monitor and record the child's progress, communicating effectively with parents and staff.
  • Ensure the child's safety and well-being at all times.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications and training in catheterisation and epilepsy care.
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs.
  • A compassionate, patient, and understanding approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to the child's long-term development and well-being.
