About Us

Our Stratford site is equipped and developed to offer specialist provision for students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) and Severe Learning Difficulties, including sensory impairments and medical conditions.

Medical care plans are implemented on-site by staff who have had appropriate training, or alternatively by Health Care Assistants for students that require one-to-one support.

There are specialist spaces and equipment, including a food technology classroom, sensory room, soft play area, trampoline for rebound therapy and a hydrotherapy pool. The site also offers outdoor learning areas.

The classrooms are spacious with storage for resources and specialist equipment. Each classroom has a ceiling track hoist and/or mobile hoist.

The Role

As an SEN TA at our Stratford-based school, you will:

  • Support Learning: Assist in the delivery of tailored educational programs, ensuring each student receives the support they need to succeed.
  • Student Progress: Monitor and support the progress of all students, providing feedback that helps them achieve their personal and educational goals.
  • Individual Care: Provide personal care and support to students with PMLD and severe learning difficulties, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of lessons tailored to the needs of students with PMLD and severe learning difficulties.
  • Support students in their learning activities, both in the classroom and during extracurricular activities.
  • Help maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the assessment and tracking of student progress.
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with PMLD and severe learning difficulties is preferred but not essential.
  • A passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
